ERP Transformation & Mainframe Replacement

FifthQuadrant led the turnaround of a stalled ERP transformation programme for a major manufacturing organisation, delivering one of the most significant business and technology changes in the company's history.

Following a programme reset, we established a standard ERP template for deployment across ten manufacturing sites, transforming core processes, operating models and technology platforms while enabling the retirement of legacy systems that had supported the business for more than 30 years.

The first three sites went live successfully within six months of our engagement including two major manufacturing facilities employing over 1,000 people. Both sites were transitioned ahead of the mainframe shutdown deadline, with manufacturing operations fully restored within four days of go-live.

Despite the challenges of moving to a remote working model, we coordinated all of the technology and service partners and successfully delivered all go-lives remotely via six countries. The programme resulted in the successful decommissioning of the legacy mainframe, a repeatable ERP deployment model and a platform for future transformation.
